From the April 4, 2017 concert in Florence, Villa Bardini, At the Origins of art Music for the Flute in North America. A Program of Early American Music, 1800-1858. A projectc by Aloma Bardi. Myung San Ko, soprano: Viola Shaula Valerio, flute; Anna Toccafondi, piano and ensemble direction. Modern première performance & recording. The concert was a collaboration of ICAMus with Conservatorio di Musica "Luigi Cherubini" di Firenze and Villa-Museo Bardini. Video by Yoon Kyu Yoon.

There is a voice which I have heard
In pleasure and in pain;
Beneath the lowly cottage porch,
Before the sacred fane;
I’ve listened to it in the vale
When Luna gleams above
And ever have I joyed to hear
The voice of faithful love.
When sorrows overcome the heart
And dim the eye with tears
And idle mirth no joy can add
To charm maturer years,

The April 4, 2017 ICAMus program marked the inauguration of the Affiliation Agreement between the Center and the Music Conservatory of Florence, stipulated to pursue common educational and research projects focusing on American music of the past and the present time.
