Major news: Establishing the American Music Center in Prato, Italy!
After twenty-two years of activity as a Non-Profit Organization (established in January 2002) ICAMus is now a music institute of the City of Prato, Italy! The Collection and Archive have been moved from the ICAMus Studio in Ann Arbor, MI, to Palazzo Martini-Palazzo della Musica, Prato, where the city’s music istitutes are housed: the Orchestra (Camerata Strumentale Prato), the School of Music (Scuola di Musica “G. Verdi”) and the classical-music radio station (Rete Toscana Classica). The public opening of the new Center is announced for May 18, 2024.
We wish to extend our heartfelt thanks to the City of Prato and to the Palazzo della Musica, for believing in our mission.

The new ICAMus is library and archive, as well as research, performance and exhibition space entirely devoted to American Music. It is the only such institute outside the United States.
