Great success for the evening of American Art Songs in Florence, a new ICAMus collaboration with the Lyceum.

It was a memorable evening at the Florence Lyceum! Our program of American Songs and Poetry of Contemplation and the Natural World came to life through the talents of mezzo-soprano Dr. Tessa Romano and pianist LiLai Nan.

The program featured works by Aaron Copland, William Grant Still, Florence Price, Damien Sneed, Betty Jackson King, Undine Smith Moore, Ricky Ian Gordon, and Samuel Barber.

The concert program, the introductions by Eleonora Negri (President of Lyceum Musica) and by ICAMus Director Aloma Bardi, the warm international audience, the beautiful Lyceum venue overlooking the Arno, the glorious April day in Florence— every detail made this event a resounding success.

Here is a gallery of photographic memories.
