Together, they bring his works to life in the very space that houses a one-of-a-kind collection of his music. An intimate morning of live performance, discussion, and a tour of our extensive collection of Scott Wheeler's scores and recordings. Great success for the evening of American Art Songs in Florence, a new ICAMus collaboration with the Lyceum.

It was a memorable evening at the Florence Lyceum! Our program of American Songs and Poetry of Contemplation and the Natural World came to life through the talents of mezzo-soprano Dr. Tessa Romano and pianist LiLai Nan. The concert program, the introductions by Eleonora Negri (President of Lyceum Musica) and ICAMus Director Aloma Bardi, the warm international audience, the beautiful Lyceum venue overlooking the Arno, the glorious April day in Florence— every detail made this event a resounding success. American Music Center Curator Aloma Bardi presented a lecture on "Centuries of American Musical Originality" at the Liceo “Enea Silvio Piccolomini” in Siena. The students shared insightful comments and questions during the final discussion.
