    The Program for "A Concert of Early American Music, 1800-1858", with a Program Note, texts and translations, is online, available for download. The upcoming concert, featuring rare and rediscovered works from the American musical past, takes place in Florence, Villa Bardini, on April 4, 2017, at 5:30 pm. Myung San Ko, soprano; Kyle Sullivan, baritone; Viola S. Valerio, flute; Anna Toccafondi, solo piano, piano accompaniment, ensemble direction; a project by Aloma Bardi.

    The newly released CD has arrived at the ICAMus Studio!

    "La tregua. Songs from a lost world of Italian Jewish composers, 1895-1945". Caroline Helton, soprano, and Kathryn Goodson, piano; Blue Griffin Recording, Inc., 2017. This new CD features works by composers who emigrated to the Americas to escape Nazi deportation: Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco, Renzo Massarani and Vittorio Rieti; it also includes works by Leone Sinigaglia. ICAMus and Aloma Bardi have collaborated to this project with ongoing research on this rare repertoire and its rediscovery.

    Songs from a Lost World of Italian Jewish Composers; honoring the International Holocaust Remembrance Day and featuring composers who emigrated to the Americas in 1939 to escape Nazi persecution.

    A concert of soprano Caroline Helton and pianist Kathryn Goodson on January 29, 2017, in honor of the International Holocaust Remembrance Day, featuring art songs of Italian Jewish Composers, Leone Sinigaglia, Vittorio Rieti, Renzo Massarani and Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco. ICAMus has contributed to this project with research in American archives on forgotten and unpublished works by Italian American composers.

    A Concert of European Premieres of Rare and Rediscovered Works of Early American Music, 1800-1858.

    A new ICAMus spring concert program of rare works from Pre-Civil War American Music, 1800-1858, takes place in the beautiful Villa Bardini of Florence, Italy, on April 4, 2017. Works by Edward Riley (1769-1829), Benjamin Carr (1768-1831; in America from 1793), Anthony Philip Heinrich (1781-1861), Stephen Collins Foster (1826-1864). Myung San Ko, soprano; Kyle Sullivan (baritone); Viola Shaula Valerio (flute); Anna Toccafondi (solo piano, piano accompaniment, ensemble direction); a project by Aloma Bardi. This is the first program carried out by ICAMus within the recently-established Affiliation Agreement with the Music Conservatory of Florence.

    Rare Scores and Concert Programs Donated to the ICAMus Archive by Award-Winning Exhibition Curator, Archivist, and Lecturer, Bill Doggett.

    An important recent addition to the ICAMus Archive: rare scores of internationally renowned composers, notably Florence-born American composer Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco (1895-1968), and a collector’s item related to Dutch-born American composer Richard Hageman (1881-1966) and his only opera Caponsacchi, completed in the early 1930s and produced by the Metropolitan Opera in 1937. The items have been donated to ICAMus by award-winning exhibition curator, archivist, and lecturer, Bill Doggett. The Center established a special partnership with Bill Doggett Productions in 2015.

    The program of the chamber-music concert Around the New World in Eighty Years - Un giro nel Nuovo Mondo in ottant'anni is online, available for download. ICAMus sponsors and contributes to an American program for clarinet-violin-piano trio in Bologna, Italy, on November 25, 2016. Gabrielle Baffoni (clarinet), Brandon Christensen (violin) and Anna Quaranta (piano); works by Daniel Gregory Mason, Leonard Bernstein, Harold Schiffman, Jeanne Singer, Charles E. Ives and Béla Bartók. Co-sponsored by the University of Bologna and the Museo Internazionale e Biblioteca della Musica di Bologna.

    New materials and updates are available on the November 23-25, 2016 Chamber Music Program in Bologna, Italy: Around the New World in Eighty Years - Un giro nel Nuovo Mondo in ottant'anni. ICAMus sponsors and contributes to three American-Music events for clarinet-violin-piano trio. With Gabrielle Baffoni (clarinet), Brandon Christensen (violin) and Anna Quaranta (piano). West-East Counterpoints: The performers meet with the students in a chamber music workshop, and an educational conversation about musical studies in Europe and the US.
