ICAMus was established 20 years ago on this day (January 25, 2002). We are proud of the numerous accomplishments, of the initiatives and projects over the years. As we look ahead, we take a moment to rejoice in the memories we have created.
A new video by Luca Bragalini on Duke Ellington's symphonic jazz ballet score Three Black Kings is discussed by scholars of the diverse fields explored in the presentation. ICAMus is proud to endorse A Not-ThreePenny Festival/Un festival NON da tre soldi” by Associazione InCanto. The series of events is focused on Kurt Weill and takes place in Italy (Terni, Umbria) from August 17 to September 4, 2021.
The online presentation by Aloma Bardi is an exploration of American music and poetry, with particular focus on the theme of Nature. With slides including original texts and documents, and visual art; in-depth materials (links to audio files, song texts & translations, bibliography, performers’ statements) available through the website page.
