    Upcoming Triple American Chamber Music Event in Bologna, Italy.

    Around the New World in Eighty Years - Un giro nel Nuovo Mondo in ottant'anni. Three American-Music events for clarinet-violin-piano trio, and for the three instruments in different formations, in Bologna, Italy, November 23-25, 2016. ICAMus sponsors and contributes to a triple event. Gabrielle Baffoni (clarinet), Brandon Christensen (violin) and Anna Quaranta (piano) perform a program of Daniel G. Mason, Leonard Bernstein, Harold Schiffman, Jeanne Singer, Charles E. Ives and Béla Bartók. Co-sponsored by the University of Bologna and the Museo Internazionale e Biblioteca della Musica di Bologna.

    Recording sessions for a new Early American Music program in Florence.

    At the Origins of Art Music for the Flute in North America: An Early American Music Program, 1800-1858, is being recorded in Florence this summer, at the historic Villa Favard of Rovezzano, one of the buildings of the Conservatorio di Musica "Luigi Cherubini" di Firenze. ICAMus and the Florence Conservatory of Music are collaborationg on this project, integrating research, performance, teaching, and recording of Early-Romantic American Music.

    The Program of June 1st, 2016 Castelnuovo-Tedesco Release Event in Florence is Online.

    You are invited to view and download the ICAMus program for the Castelnuovo-Tedesco CD release event in Florence, June 1st, 2016. The newly released CD What Think You I Take My Pen in Hand to Record?: Settings of Whitman and Shakespeare by Florence-born American composer Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco is celebrated at the Dischi Fenice record store. With live music performance (Caroline Helton, soprano - Kathryn Goodson, piano). On the occasion, the CD "L'Infinito": Songs from a Lost World of Italian Jewish Composers will also be introduced to the European audience.

    Upcoming Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco CD Release Event in Florence.

    The newly released CD What Think You I Take My Pen in Hand to Record?: Settings of Whitman and Shakespeare by Florence-born American composer Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco - Salvatore Champagne (tenor), Howard Lubin (piano) - is celebrated at the Dischi Fenice record store in Florence, Italy, on June 1st, 2016. Release events participants and guests: Aloma Bardi, Mila De Santis, John Champagne, Caroline Helton, Kathryn Goodson, Castelnuovo-Tedesco family members, Costantino Maiani, Lorenzo Maiani. With live music performance.

    The newly-released Castelnuovo-Tedesco CD has arrived at the ICAMus Studio!

    This new CD is an ICAMus collaboration with Oberlin Music, distributed by Naxos: What Think You I Take My Pen in Hand to Record?: Settings of Whitman and Shakespeare, by Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco. Premiere recording of unpublished works. Salvatore Champagne, tenor; Howard Lubin, piano. A 66-page booklet with essays by James Westby, Mila De Santis, Aloma Bardi, John Champagne; illustrated with archival photos. Oberlin Music OC 16-02.

    A new volume being published by ICAMus: European and American Horizons of Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco: Essays from the 2015 Events. Edited by Aloma Bardi.

    Original essays from the Florence 2015 events, devoted to Florence-born American Jewish composer Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco (1895-1968): a session of papers and live performance at the “Intersections/Intersezioni” Conference (5 June 2015) and a conference-concert at the Lyceum (8 June 2015).
